30th Vattenfall BERLIN HALF MARATHON on March 28th, 2010
The Vattenfall Berlin Half Marathon did celebrate its 30th anniversary on March 28th, 2010 with a fabulous party. Over the past years, Germany’s largest and fastest half marathon has been growing rapidly. Over 23,000 runners from 94 countries participated in the last sightseeing tour of Berlin, a course that cannot be beat. The mix of live music, artists, and attractions is drawing more and more spectators to the course. And the Berlin streets are fast! That is not only demonstrated by the top runners with numerous times under the magic one-hour limit, but also through the many personal bests in the ever-growing field of participants.
The 31st Vattenfall BERLIN HALF-MARATHON will be held on April 3rd, 2011.

Ethiopia’s Eshetu Wondimu has ended Kenya’s win streak at the 30th Vattenfall BERLIN HALF MARATHON on Sunday. The 28 year-old took the race in a fine 60:16 minutes, beating Peter Kirui (Kenya) by just one second in the final sprint. Ethiopia’s Maregu Zewdie took third place with 60:24. Kenyans had won the Vattenfall BERLIN HALF MARATHON eight times in a row from 2002. 21 year-old Pasalia Kipkoech won the women’s race in 69:43 minutes from her fellow Kenyan Eunice Kales (69:50).
