Data Protection Notice from SCC EVENTS GmbH regarding the
carbon offset programme in cooperation with atmosfair gGmbH

With this notice, we are informing you about the processing of your personal data by SCC EVENTS GmbH (hereinafter also referred to as "SCC" or "we") and the rights to which you are entitled according to the data protection laws in the context of participation in the carbon offset programme in cooperation with atmosfair gGmbH.

  1. Origin and scope of the data

We receive the personal data listed below as part of your participation in the carbon offset programme, provided that you participated in the carbon offset programme in cooperation with atmosfair gGmbH, Zossener Straße 55-58, 10961 Berlin:

or

B) via this link https://co2offset.atmosfair.de/co2offset?p=1000308710#/flight?locale=en for the sports event GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON.
Participation is neither contractual nor legally required. It is also possible to contribute to the carbon offset programme with atmosfair without using the SCC link.

The following personal data will be transferred to us by atmosfair gGmbH after your participation in the carbon offset programme: The amount of your donation to atmosfair.

No other personal data is affected. It is not possible to draw any conclusions about natural persons on the part of SCC.

  1. Purposes and legal basis of data processing

The processing of the reported, consolidated contributions made by all participants is carried out for the purpose of the SCC's public relations work and within the framework of the SCC's own marketing measures, in particular for the evaluation of the donated compensation contributions via the BMW BERLIN MARATHON and GENERALI BERLIN HALF MARATHON sporting events.

The legal basis for the lawful processing of your personal data results from Article 6, Para. 1, lit. a) GDPR with your consent or your confirming action: by using the SCC links, we receive information about the amount of your contributions to atmosfair in accordance with your explicit request.

Insofar as we have been granted consent to process personal data for specific, previously stated purposes, the lawfulness of this processing is given on the basis of the consent. Consent given can be revoked at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the data processed until the revocation.

  1. Recipients or categories of recipients of personal data

In order to fulfil the aforementioned purposes, your data will be processed exclusively by atmosfair gGmbH. The terms and conditions and privacy policy of atmosfair gGmbH apply. Additional parties who receive this data may come into contact with your personal data through atmosfair gGmbH.

There are no other recipients of your data on behalf of SCC. We do not transfer and do not plan on transferring your data to third countries or international organisations.

Duration of data storage

We process the data (amount of the donations) permanently within the framework of SCC's own marketing measures. It is not possible to draw conclusions about individual persons.

  1. Data protection rights for data subjects

All data subjects have the right to information according to Art. 15 of the GDPR, the right to correction of their data according to Art. 16 of the GDPR, the right to deletion according to Art. 17 of the GDPR, the right to restriction of processing of their data according to Art. 18 of the GDPR and the right to data transfer according to Art. 20 of the GDPR. Consent given can be revoked at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the data processed until the revocation.

Note: The data subject rights can only be fulfilled to a limited extent on the part of SCC. Cooperation with the responsible party atmosfair gGmbH may be necessary to fulfil the rights of the data subjects.

Right of appeal:

If you suspect that we are processing your data unlawfully, you can, of course, seek judicial clarification of the issue at any time. In addition, any other legal option is open to you. Irrespective of this, you have the option of contacting a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 Para. 1 GDPR. The right of complaint pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR is available to you in the EU Member State of your place of residence, your place of work and/or the place of the alleged infringement, i.e. you can choose the supervisory authority to which you turn from the places mentioned above. The supervisory authority to which the complaint has been submitted will then inform you of the status and outcome of your submission, including the possibility of a judicial remedy pursuant to Art. 78 GDPR.

  1. Automated decision-making, performance of profiling

Automated decision-making in the sense of Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.

"Profiling" is a form of automated processing of personal data evaluating personal aspects relating to a natural person, in particular for the purpose of analysing or forecasting the data subject's performance at work, economic situation, health, personal preferences or interests, reliability or behaviour, location or change of location, where this produces legal effects concerning the data subject or similarly significantly affects him or her. Your data will not be processed for profiling purposes at SCC EVENTS GmbH.
